Ok my 21st birthday is coming!

Lets see..next next sat is yours truly 21st bday celebration at some seaside chalet near changi. I think i'm going to make it 'Anybody who wants to come can come'.
It's a 3D2N stay and Sat is for my friends and Sun is when my relatives and family will come.
Well actual is 22nd. But I'm celebrating on a 19th Saturday.
There's facilities alright. But problem is i dunno what to 'put' in the chalet room lol.
Argghh. Still havent figure out what to do :(

The sea, sun and the boats are a nice view though!
Food will be available of course :)
I'm trying to make this a simple affair :)

These few weeks I've been going out a few times with my ns mates.

Jack's Place with Yong Xiang and Zer Ming.
Me and YX had some $19 steak while ZM had Chicken and Prawn Combo..
Jack's THE Place to eat steak. Flavorful and like their baked potato too.

Shop around Heeren and ZM went home before me and YX went to redeem my
Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream $10 Voucher.
We had 3 flavors on a waffle cone :)
I think it was Raspberry + Choco Mint + Butterscotch
The ice cream scooper was cute hahaha.

Went out with my army fren JJ yesterday to Bugis and Town
He want to look for tees and...Onitsuka Tiger! haha.
So we ate at Manhattan Fish Market @ Illuma and
Paragon + Wheelock to find the Tiger shoes haha.

The stores Star360 in sg havent lesser variety than online =/
but i finally get to see them and some of the designs and patterns
are cute and nice! cost alot too :( $150-$200+

It's the day i finally got my Ipod Touch too :)

Finally, after 3 months of sweat, tough times and joy, it is our Graduation Parade and POP!
It's finally over :)

Recalled, Just 1 or 2 days before our POP parade,
for the first time in our lives in Tekong,
after a hard and sweaty hot afternoon sun and rain,
we saw a RAINBOW. Was so happy and surprised. It looked really nice.
The fact that we just finished our hours of hot sun filled parade rehearsal made it even sweeter.
I just keep staring above at the colours :)
Coincidentally, it really looks similar to this pic.
Was sad i couldn't take pic as cameras not allowed in Tekong.

Week 7 Field Camp

Week 7: We had to march 8km (2hours) to our Field Camp site.
It was really tough considering we march off with 20kg of weight on our whole body.
(Thats around 8 laptops to carry)

It was basically up the slope and down. with soil and some soil puddle
and plenty of stones all on the ground.
Gotta careful when moving if not easily sprain your ankle.

When we finally reach our camp site(in the middle of nowhere in the forest)
We had to build our tents and dig the sides in case rain so the water can flow down.
The Temperature was so hot it was 38 degrees!
I looked around and saw many people were closed to fainting.
Alot of them sit down and rest. Most of us had headaches
because of the constant need to put on helmet and hot sun.
Basically we were sleeping on a slope.

WK 6 Live Range and Live Grenade

Live Range I found it to be really cool
But very dangerous as we are shooting live rounds with our rifles. Can get killed of course.
Same for Live Grenade where we get to throw only 1 grenade in our entire life.
The sounds of the bullets when you fire off is really loud and the recoil jerks you back.
However I got Marksman! hehehe.

Also did Guard duty with Daniel at R- Hill.

Cant reveal too much, oh well. :)

Wk 4. Guard Duty

Guard duty was alright. After guard mounting parade, 12 of us went to Ferry Terminal for duty.
Did 3shifts. 2hrs duty, 4 hours break. 7pm-9pm, 1am-3am,and 7am-8am.
Midnite shift silent and the constant strong wind blows.
you stare far out at the sea,clouds,waves and the boats. Quite an experience.

Now is Wk6 already. 7 more weeks to go.
So far pretty interesting.
My next holiday break is CNY! After that is return to normal Sat Book Outs. Sun Book In :(

It's where we stay and all :) with our bunks and outside is chin up bar -.- haha

YAY 1st Book Out from NS!
I'm posted to WHISKEY Company! Quite Welfare hehe.

So far so good. The food is surprisingly good as well compared to what was said.
Maybe it's because of festive season haha. I get Chicken Wings,Mash Potatoes, Fried Rice etc. Better ones are Pasta, 1/2 Spring Chicken, Fried Chicken(Best) and holiday eve got Walls ice cream! Every meal got fruits,soup and drinks. Breakfast got chicken pau and lo mai kai etc.

Accomplishment in First 2 weeks: Lucky I passed my IA Weapon Arms Drills under with Sergent's and Officers watching. Must lie on the ground with SBO. Holding gun and LBV. Sweat alot but its worth it coz i passed! Can also strip and assemble my rifle around 30secs each

So far completed three 3km route march with LBV, vest slack uniform and SAR21(Rifle).

Next book out on wed (New Year's Eve) hehe

learn new skills as web and graphic designer during my 3 months there.
Gained useful working experience and Good pay too hehe.

Received good bye gifts, wallet shop wallet, stickers, hand-made cards.

well i'm :) of course!

well firstly i received a PM at 12.30am(nite) from keeptouch wishing me happy birthday lol.

as sam was admin of the forum, i wondered if it was he who

at this late nite send the wishes.

so i log in (which i didnt for a v.long time)

And to my little horror, Sam bday was (19th fri) 3 days before me!

And Judy asked me out with sam that day

but i happen to have some on with my family so i rejected w/o knowing lol.

So today i asked Judy and Sam out. A must to treat Sam the bday boy

and Judy( 1 yr ani with your mr pooh? ) haha.

Bugis and we dine at V8.

Creamy Chicken Pasta, Seafood Aglio Olio

and mine was V8 Signature Dish.....4got the name lol.

But it is chicken chop with mash potatoes, carrots, brocroli, 1 soup

plus the best part is the thick creamy sauce with 1 big pc

of bacon sitting nicely on the chicken chop.

2nd time went there...was tempted to try others but still stick

with their sig dish coz like it alot ^_^

Then we walk walk and sat at Rockery or smth..

Sam treated us smoothies =P

25th July - 1st Aug I'll be in NUS promoting Lenovo Laptops. AGAIN ! lol

This time really so many students. o.O
Hundreds and Hundreds of students queue outside everyday
just to get their matrix card thing done and then visit the laptop showplace =O

More brands there. Lenovo. Fujitsu. NEC. Toshiba and Acer -.-
So far so good. Great product and pricing.
Sold 9 sets on 1st day, 12, 15, 20, 12 [5th] and 15[Last Day] !!
Broke my previous highest record of 10 sets a day muhahaha.
Our Total Sales not bad. About 570 sets sold!
Lenovo and Fujitsu basically owned this nus roadshow lol.

This time round, Decided to work for Samsung at pcshow 2008 :)

4 Days sold 60 mp3 players muhahaha...
They are good and nice okay ;D
Sound quality i tried is better than my ipod and maybe creative. =/

10 ppl total in mp3 booth. I think Samsung has the biggest booth in pcshow this time.
And those who drop by suntec,i think i took long enuff time off to wander around with u all haha.Thanks for dropping by..
Lose a bit of sales is alright. I prefer enjoy myself abit with sight seeing :)

Fri went to JE FujiIce to Ice Skate!
Did not take pics coz all busy skating haha.
This is my 2nd time. At First abit unsure, but after that not afraid le :)
8 of us. $15 each. Unlimited Time. Skated From 2.30 - 6.30pm.

Then Eat at Korean ZingDo inside JE and we decided to go near my house play LAN gaming.
Before we left for bus 66, it was around 9pm. Start playing 10pm.
Man. Little did i know, after we played 2hours till 12am,
They decided to hang out till daylight @_@
Me n XY already having splitting headaches lol.

Tour the entire hang outs of my area walking...
Bought a deck of card, relac and played games at mac
And then we go eat supper at HK Cafe. (2-3am)
Afterwards its like...4am, they play 2hrs LAN again @_@ x2
I still remember it was 6am like that @_@ x3
The whole lan shop was still almost full house all the way..

When the sky is really nice and blue, finally can go home and slp zzz.
I really dont know how we able to pass the time like that. 1 whole day outside. lol.

21st May 2008. GRADUATION DAY!

Arrived and Gathered inside a room outside the Auditorium.
Saw familiar faces after months of absence
And The 1st person i talked to was Mervyn haha.
Didnt know at 1st how the queue was formed lol.

So it was. Lined up according to Surname.
Then went in and relaxed on the comfortable seats,
Went on stage, miss kau spoke to me and her face was white haha think coz its the light..
receive the blue holder and walked back to sit for the rest of the ceremony.
The whole thing took roughly 1 1/2 hr.

When it ended and we walked out to take pics,
the whole place was quite messy haha. Many ppl.Like a scramble.
Ate at lounge, took more pics and headed with 9 ppl to Marina.
We had Shurn,Allan,Billy,Peter,Fuyi,CT,XingYi,Sam and Me.
Sad some couldn't join us =(

And I learnt never play bowl for more than 3hrs( 3 game)
and 3hrs on LAN gaming in a day coz that was what we did x_x
First two bowl games our energy was lively ^_^
but last game no energy left T_T

Walked and Talked all the way to Dhoby from Marina and played LAN till night
Ate Beancurd then it was home to cap a v.tired but splendid day :)

Apple Roadshow

Completed week long period Of Lenovo ITE Roadshows. Work with fellow Roadshow brudders. Kevin and Desmond. tsk tsk hehe. TP roadshow commision was good. And I sold 31 sets total for 5 days :) NP roadshow sold 40 sets. Hopefully we'll work together again yea. ^_^

Now working with Peter Pan for Nubox. Selling Apple Products. MacBook, IPods, Itouch, MacBook Air ! basically all apple products. paywise quite low and customer little compare to other roadshows. But still ok, work for 4 days, Till Sunday and have Mac Experience. And I met my Dopod IT Show supervisor coincidently again after 3 years haha. This time because the company is doing Apple Roadshow so he must incharge. And got fashion show, female balloon givers and DJs at there too. =) ok. 4 days of roadshow ended. Last day fun la ! muahaha.

Yet Everyday loads of students pass by.
Many stop by to look and also to go other classes, lectures, lunch.

Went to Chinatown to have midnite supper with the group.
Order many dishes, crab fried rice, sotongs, shells and of cuz thai tom yam soup! 10 dishes+ haha. SGD $10 each. Then went back hotel slp already 2am haha.

I'M ALSO HAPPY I PROVED MYSELF IN THIS FYP PROJECT !

very happy hehe. finally my long weeks at nyp labs and beijing efforts paid off :)
its been 12 long and nice weeks. A for FYP and GPA Up to 3.513 !!
yay! my hope of 3.5 for gpa accomplished lol.
From year 1 to year 3....gpa is.... 3.2->3.3->3.4->3.5 !
Patrick got pretty good results(B+) too. glad that he's happy with it when i asked him hehe.
For those didnt really got what you wanted. dont be too sad. there's more to come !

2nd thing is...my 6 day work promoting Lenovo(IBM) Notebooks
to new incoming year 1 students at np ended.
result: Top Salesman :D Sold 40 notebooks hehe.
met many many nice fwens hehe. and so too for IT Show 2008.

February 15 2008. Friday. Last Day of IAP.
As usual. Busy with my work. like since Day 1 lol.
Completed Final sets of Banners for Hp,AOL which my marketing executive,Carrie Taylor found awesome lol...happy :)

Did photo cropping and frame them up with my style director(supervisor). Since i came, i've framed 40 photos lol. Whole company filled with coloured photo frames lol.
Decorated both levels of muvee with photos on the walls.
The people at muvee really curious and would stop by once in awhile to look at the photos that had been framed up beside my table and also now that they are on the walls. Stop by, chat among themselves, smiles, laugh. It feels good.
They seem excited about even fotos haha. Excited which of their colleagues have been up haa..
Perhaps thats why most of them have worked at muvee for quite long.

I'm satisfied. I'm sad that IAP finally has ended of course.
Philip Morgan, my COO away on biz trip 2weeks..quite sad he not around during my last week.
I can see why he's the COO among the many staffs and he and karen really treated me
very nice. Even when i'm helping them set up wires etc for event, he auto gave me tips on it,
what to do, what not lol. And also among other things that i do.
Somehow you feel the faith as an intern lol. He the best and nicest person at here i would say !

Last Day, supervisor treated me to anywhere i choose to dine haha..
settled on Fish N Co as its very near and eat together with them and marketing people.
Its so nice to work with them :) Hugs and Handshakes before leaving for the last time.
I'm going to miss them for sure. Especially Leon. The one who took me under his wings since day 1 about design and whom i joke around and click most with :)

Overall nice experience. x'mas candy cane. CNY ang bao. good people and working environment.
They asked me to one day come by and visit them, have lunch etc.
Esp Auntie and Uncle. who are sad to see me end my IAP.
I believe i will. someday. hopefully.before nS.

Touchdown to SG !!! FYP days

Hey there people...finally took some time to write...
if not really dunno when can update haha...

well..Its been afew days since i came back from Beijing(BITC) for fyp.
Thursday 6pm reach Singapore...saw parents when walk out of the aiport door,
the feeling is very warm. Two months never see them.

Stopped at the duty free shop selling liquor.
Thats when i parted with Yew Hock, Patrick they all...
Walked out the arrival door with Manufacturing friends...
Took some pics and then each parted our ways...

These 7 weeks made loads of new friends...
both at Beijing and NYP during my 12 weeks doing fyp....
At great times at Beijing.....
None the less, I'll always remember the great times we had especially at NYP...
my lab, S434...Shurn lab S435....etc etc...
stopped at times at Block L and of cuz morning take attendance at "the cage"
ahaha...and of cuz will sit down beside hui sheng to look slack and talk abit b4 gg bac to lab...

Its been great working with Patrick for FYP.
Great Partnership IMO. Can click bah ^_^
Think Our supervisor, Mr David Tang can see it too
^_^ He's pleased i suppose.
Our CRM website overall went pretty gd !

Had lots of fun, with friends like Kin Loong, Tze Wei, Benjamin

1 Week passed...Its been fun :)

(Mon) dAY 1 : Reach sch at 10pm...eat noodle at the canteen provided and brief then start at 11pm...Head still like spinning at night because of the long flight. 4hr from changi to HK.

2 hr Transit in HK and 4 hr from HK to Beijing. Nice Taiwanese man on flight to Beijing.

Nice bus to fetch us.45 mins to reach sch at nite.

(Tues) dAy 2 : Ate Mala huo guo inside supermarket opposite....very hot...nice, SGD $3 per pax....beef and lamb set meal with veg...Listen to their teachers talk in a room.

(Wed) dAy 3 : Start fyp in lab. Went out with yew hock, kelvin, hong yong, xing yi,and jane to somewhere near Xiu Shui Jie (Silk Street) to shop around.1st day out. Ate at mac. Cute soft toy dogs. Took nice pics.Couldnt alighted in time so alighted at the next stop.

(Thurs) Day 4 : Went out with Benjamin and co to Silk Street for cheap stuffs..

Entered jewellery shop and ate outside nearby in a restraunt
Includes: 1 prawn dumpling wih hot soup inside. 1 meat dumpling same. Chicken in a Bucket. Curry chicken with potatoes. Etc... Each person around SGD $7-8 dollars only haha.

(Friday) Day 5 :8am sit bus go to visit Tian An Men.....

NAPFA round 2

Did my NAPFA Test 2nd round on Wednesday...
Pretty much improved from the 1st test for all stations...
For the 2.4km run, I ran like siao >.< !! breathless. and niggling pain but kept movin'
Result: SILVER ^_^ !!

Finally ! can get out NS earlier 1-2 months...
can make use of this time to do many other stuffs...(^_^)

And yea. I accidentally disrupted the whole power supply of lab S434,
the lab I'm currently doing my Final Year Project (FYP) in.
Our sweet n gentle DT was super worried lor....felt kinda bad.

In the end, technician came, back to normal.
such a relief to see her agreed to have a meal with me. uh..us haha...
i was so paiseh n sorry for the accident lor >.< said sorry which she said its ok..
then bought her something (snack) which we shared with the class...

later that nite, she sms back saying she nt angry wif me
coz she know is accident...etc.. :)
And so, I have to treat her a meal or smth. Lunch / Dinner hmm...

Celebrated on 21th Sep friday...those on attachment and fyp all came over :)

Peter followed us to Yakun Kaya place and ate abit while waiting for them to come..when all arrived finally decided to go NY-NY to eat as we all nvr eat there b4 haa..
Always wanted to sit inside those rounded seats
and we really got the space when the ppl there left ! nice...

The Whole table was full with drinks and food lor lol...
had Candy Flost, FY had Waffles with Ice-cream
and they treated me with Manhattan Chocolate cake which was very very nice !
1 of the best cakes i have ever tasted ! :) xiE xiE !!
7pm to 10.30pm then walked around Boat Quay :)

I wanna thank Jane, Judy, Shi Ying, Edalene, Gary,

My results...quite ok i guess...GPA went up abit from 3.387 to 3.433 =]

I think i've met all of my targets which was to:

1. Increase GPA even by alittle.

2. Get at least a B in all modules. I dont like the look of C LOL.

3. Get at least a B in that 5 credit module. Since year 1 my 5 Credit modules all C+ -_-

4. Try and get at least 1 DIST. Looks nicer lol.

5. Do the best i can. And try not to have any regrets :)

Finally, even though results out le. I still believe this :
We are all brilliant as individuals. Stronger as a team. YES. You All. My Friends. =)

Wed went to sch do projects and after that went to North Canteen to eat

Our 3 Common Test has finally ended yay ! its been a long week...

Database, Open Source and ICT Project Management yay all finish XD
after the last test on Thurs, we went straight to Cine ate Suki Sushi =)
out of us only Xing Yi and Loan Shark ate b4, but since they say nice we go try lor haha..

waited 5 mins for the "yellow plates" food to come, but still haben come so
we auto liao ! juz take the moving sushi plates and see like wat take wat lol....
remembered taking salmon sushi 1st then ebi(prawn) sushi, octopus, eel sushi etc...
me n xiao bai too hungry cannot wait fer the premium food to arrive unlike xing yi haha...

Can order the premiums again and again anytime u want haha...
It was good...ate alot of stuffs...Love the Soft shell crabs most ! 1 plate got 4...
$17.90++ ----> so become $20 =_= might as well put $20 on the ad...
actually got Sam and charles but they decided to eat at BK then couple off
to dunno where haha..
we arrived around 1pm...the buffet 12 noon till 5.30pm...ate and laugh like siao till 4+ haha..

Got a BRONZE cert ahaa...on it says my fitness is good. Keep it up. haha...
ok enuff bah...of course silver betta la, coz can cut two months NS...
but must retake again after graduate as valid for 12 months only...
so standard bah...go in and come out NS same time as most of my friends =)
quite a few people fail =( mostly coz of da 2.4 Km run...
nvm..next time afta graduate wan train fer NS call me...i suddenly feel like running XD

actually tink i use 80% effort only....hit requirement i stop le haha...like pull ups..
5 times enuff for silver....7 times gd enuff fer gold....
so do 7 times i chose to rest for 2.4 run haha...
but my fav 100m shuttle run i ran like a rabbit haha...9.8 sec...love it since pri sch...
tink my timing fer it betta than my sec sch aha...netta check...

nice weather....ran the 2.4km thinking of frens and stuffs haha...
ran 2 rounds w/o stopping and my shoelace came out but i heck care until round 3 tired then tie... must run 6 Big rounds....haha....enjoyed...

Haa missing for past 2 days...went to malaysia wif relatives coz they book room there... initial thought was resort, but when reach there...woa the house so big @.@ stayed 1 floor but is bigger than 1 HDB flat inside... reach there around 6pm...3hr ride from sg custom >.<

Ate yummy seafood at Restoran...lobsters,crabs,alot alot others =P

went walk walk, nice ambience after dark ^.^ shops were opened...not noisy at all...

bought bubble gums, satay at 20 cents each, snacks etc etc =)

watched some dvds we bought there, mahjong, chit chat etc and i slept 3am+ lol...

next day went to the beach =) its been 10 years since my family's been here....
really takes ur mind of things and have clear thoughts ^.^ had a great and relaxing time...

Last day, woke up at 4.30am still dark have ta leave to sch and parents to work...

quite scary coz imagine all dark no lamp post, going at 100km/h

all u have is ur car's front lights...and malaysia road all fast drivers and tight lanes...
all cars "zoom" past in opposite directions 1....but lucky managed to reach sg at 7 am liddat ^.^ in all, these two days really had a peaceful and enjoying time =)

went out with two of my sec sch friends =)
met at Great WOrld City then walk to nearby quiet "shopping centre"
eat prawn noodles...live tiger prawns swimming in the "tank" leh...
$5 for 1 miserable prawn...so of course eat $6 with two prawns haha...
big bowl, sou[p] got put those herbal stuff haha..
wolfberry seeds.. so taste diff from outside..
price kinda steep but the prawns is big and nice =p..

then go upstairs play pool...2hrs $8.60..
walk walk Great World City inside...
then go Zion Road eat again haha...

then took 195 go Thiong Bahru shopping centre explore lol..

went fishing on Sunday morning since a long time... my dad has a current small boat juz enuff for 5-6 people =) as my mum wasnt feeling so well coz the tides we quite rough, we anchoured v.near the coast of the club... din catch any fish even thou my dad has caught a number of fishes at that area before haha... lucky nt too hot and there were nice winds constantly... nice being out at sea once in awhile~~

the boat behind me is not ours =P

Went to sch to do OOAD with kas..finally almost finish !! then went to amkss..saw that the students were so polite to the indian guards...almost everyone of them said goodbye nicely before leaving the gates... and students heading across the road to Mac...biz muz be gd that huh lol..

Ate 1 pack of Indo instant noodles...super hot till my tongue still burning =D.. gd ha ha..

Jerry was the line cook at Generic Chain Family Restaurant. He was the one cook you never wanted on your shift because he was a starer. Stared at you through the little window where your order came up. All the time. We were young college girls, he was a few years older, a townie. Part of Jerry's duties every night included taking out the trash. Though everyone else in the kitchen complained about this job, he never did. Found out why when I arrived to work one night and found all of the freezers and walk-in coolers padlocked.What the hell, I asked. I need to get some creamers for the line. Why is this effing cooler locked?Theft, said the night manager.

There's all kinds of theft taking place in a restaurant, from the stolen salt and pepper shakers to the general time theft committed by employees who may or may not have clocked out when they took their fifth smoke break of the night. I suspect the same is true in grocery retail.
This is how Jerry stole the steaks: Every night when he had to take out the trash, he would first put a case of steaks from the freezer near all of the empty boxes meant to go out to the cardboard bin. He'd wait for that moment when the kitchen was empty and then put the box of steaks in a garbage bag which he would then put into an empty trash can. Then he'd double-bag the trash, put it on top of the steaks and "take out the trash". I had wondered why he always parked right next to the dumpster. After they fired him, they took the locks off the freezers and coolers. They probably should have left them on.

TOKYO — Momofuku Ando, the Japanese inventor of instant noodles — a dish that has sustained American college students for decades — has died. He was 96.
Nissin Food Products Co., the company Ando founded, said on its Web site that he died Friday after suffering a heart attack.
Born in Taiwan, Ando founded his company in 1948 from a humble family operation. Faced with food shortages in post-World War II Japan, Ando thought a quality, convenient noodle product would help feed the masses.
In 1958, his "Chicken Ramen" — the first instant noodle — was introduced after many trials. Following its success, the company added other products, such as the "Cup Noodle" in 1971.
"The Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum" opened in 1999 in Ikeda City in western Japan commemorating his inventions.
Ando gave a speech at the company's New Year ceremony and enjoyed Chicken Ramen for lunch with Nissin employees on Thursday before falling ill, Japan's largest daily Yomiuri reported
